While employed at the City of Mercer Island, performed nonstructural plan review and managed structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing reviews sent out to consultants for this $36 million mixed-use development consisting of a 2-story underground parking garage with 5 towers of fire-rated construction including 235 apartment units totaling 251,300 s.f. and a total of 210,000 s.f. of office, retail, and parking areas. Monitored shoring requirements, reviewed and monitored special inspection program, performed site inspections including pre-construction and various site meetings, provided code interpretations, monitored special inspection approvals, etc. Coordinated with other city staff to deal with street closures, staging, pedestrian protection, fire department access, etc.
