YWCA Family Village
ISSAQUAH, WA
Assisted the city of Issaquah by expediting review of this $53 million project that incorporated 148 units of permanent affordable housing for working families, people with disabilities, and seniors. This project included a community center building, a child care center, the YWCA offices, and underground parking. Performed nonstructural, structural, accessibility, and energy code plan reviews for the city of Issaquah and worked closely with the owner, architect, and structural engineer to resolve complex code issues that resulted from working on a sloped site. The site provided exterior courtyards and public areas and accessible access throughout. This mixed-use project incorporated cutting-edge green building strategies and technologies that reached into sustainability standards.
