Provided code-consulting services to Hackworth Group Architects (now McCullough Architects) for the Bothell Gateway development. This project would bring to the city its first mid-rise structures. Phase I of this new town center would provide 64 condominium units, 60,000 s.f. of office and 63,000 s.f. of retail all built on a 147,000 s.f. plaza deck above two levels of structured parking. Phase 2 would include 400 residential units. We provided guidance to the architect to determine type of construction options and rated assembly requirements as well an overall scoping code evaluation for planning for this difficult site with over 60’ of grade change.
